Kid's haircuts
in 15 minutes
Do you feel like the 'mean parent' every time your kid needs a haircut?
✁ bribing your child just to walk into the salon,
✁ struggling to comfort or distract them during haircuts,
✁ apologizing to the stylist and other customers,
✁ and worrying every time their hair gets long?
We are quick & confident. Our speciality is navigating little, uncooperative heads.
We’re fast, fearless,
After 30+ years of kid’s haircuts,
As moms, we've taken our kids for haircuts too. When your kid is scared of them, it's something you dread doing. It's what spurred the start of this family-owned business in 1992.
Most salons don't cater to kids. Typical salons focus on services for adults who are clear and cooperative during their visit. You can probably guess that isn't the case with kid's haircuts.
If your child is scared of haircuts, or you just want a fast haircut, we can help you.
Sparky's salons:
☆ are a vibrant environment full of happy distractions,
❀ don't use any typical chemicals found in adult salons,
♡ have specialty chairs that keep them busy,
✄ and have stylists who work quickly, kindly, & confidently.
We’ll get you out the door in 15 mins
with a balloon and a smile. 🎈

We are bombarded by boxes advertising fancy words and materials which often leave us wondering, "what's the difference?!".
Well, while I can't tell you the difference between all the products in the world (although I wish I could), I can tell you the difference between three commonly seen materials on hot tools: ceramic, tourmaline, and titanium.
The real difference is how many negative ions your hair is subjected to from these materials. Negative ions are used to smooth the hair by closing the hair follicles to protect the hair shaft. So naturally, the more negative ions your blast your hair with, the smoother, silkier, and frizzless your hair will be!
How do they close those little follicles on your hair, you ask?
Well, damaged hair is positively charged. As we know from previous hair tips, this means the little scales, the follicles, on the strands of hair are open. Open follicles lead to more and more damage as the hair shaft is exposed to the elements and our styling abuse!
You may have already put two and two together and realized that you can neutralize the charge of the atoms on your hair, and thus close those pesky follicles, by introducing negative ions through your hot tools.
If you're like the rest of the world and need your hot tools to achieve your style, don't fret. While hot tools are indeed damaging due to the high temperatures we subject our poor hair to, you can make better choices in the quality of the plates, heaters or barrels of your hot tools.
We are all familiar with, or have at least seen, the three major materials used for hot tools: ceramic, tourmaline and titanium.
Ceramic is usually the main base material for most hot tools. While ceramic does emit negative ions, the addition of tourmaline boosts the output of negative ions from the tool. More negative ions means a smoother, silkier look and feel for your hair after using the hot tool. Titanium tools sport the latest technology, making it the smoothest material to reduce friction and give you the sleekest look possible. Titanium tools also conduct and distribute heat better than other materials.
Often you will see the word "nano" before some of these materials: nano-ceramic, nano-tourmaline, and nano-titanium. This means that the material has been reduced to the smallest particles and infused into the plate surface giving you the smoothest possible plates of that particular material.
So, now that you have a bit of a background on these materials... which will you choose?
If you're looking for hot tools, of any material, or brand, or type, contact us! We've got a massive selection of everything you could need, and that includes hair and nail products too! We can also deliver the product you're looking for to the Sparky's location of your choice.
