Kid's haircuts

in 15 minutes

Fears and tears?

We're ready for anything.

Do you feel like the 'mean parent' every time your kid needs a haircut?

Aren't you tired of...

✁ bribing your child just to walk into the salon,

✁ struggling to comfort or distract them during haircuts,

✁ apologizing to the stylist and other customers,

✁ and worrying every time their hair gets long?

We are quick & confident. Our speciality is navigating little, uncooperative heads.

We’re fast, fearless,

& experienced.

After 30+ years of kid’s haircuts,

we’ve seen and handled it all.

As moms, we've taken our kids for haircuts too. When your kid is scared of them, it's something you dread doing. It's what spurred the start of this family-owned business in 1992.

Most salons don't cater to kids. Typical salons focus on services for adults who are clear and cooperative during their visit. You can probably guess that isn't the case with kid's haircuts.

If your child is scared of haircuts, or you just want a fast haircut, we can help you.

Sparky's salons:

☆ are a vibrant environment full of happy distractions,

❀ don't use any typical chemicals found in adult salons,

♡ have specialty chairs that keep them busy,

✄ and have stylists who work quickly, kindly, & confidently.

We’ll get you out the door in 15 mins

with a balloon and a smile. 🎈

Try This Deep Conditioner

How many of us have spent money buying products and not getting the amazing results the packaging or our hairdressers promise? A lot of us probably have our own "product graveyards" taking up our bathroom counter space. Here's the thing, its all about how you use it!

Our Product of the Day tips will teach you how to properly use some of the stuff that may be taking up your precious counter-space. So here we go!

Moroccanoil's Restorative Mask is a protein mask infused with argan oil which makes it a great product for brittle and damaged hair. This product is best suited for those of us with overworked hair, which includes colored, highlighted, permed, flat-ironed, and generally thin and brittle hair.

Now you may be asking, how do I use this?

Its actually common to misuse this product and not get the wonderful results it gives. So here it is:

  1. First, wash your hair! This way you'll give the mask a clean slate to work with.

  2. Next, you apply the product all over making sure to distribute it evenly. Sometimes running a wide tooth comb through your hair once you've applied the mask helps with even distribution.

  3. Leave it on for 5 to 7 minutes. This mask is time-sensitive so it could be left on for a maximum of 10 minutes, but don't bother leaving it on for any longer than that. People with fine, thin hair can leave it on for a shorter amount of time (5-6mins) and people with thick, coarse hair should leave it on for 7-10mins.

  4. Rinse!!

  5. Apply your daily conditioner. Many people miss this step! I'll tell you why this last step is probably the most important with a little science lesson:

In general, protein masks work by going underneath the first layer of your hair. When you shampoo, the cuticles on the hair shaft "open". You can think of cuticles like tiny scales that cover the strands of your hair. Once you apply a protein mask, it comes in contact with the actual hair shaft underneath those cuticles allowing it to deposit the proteins which strengthen the hair shaft. Once you rinse your hair, those cuticles are still open. This is where your daily conditioner comes in. A conditioner helps to smooth out those cuticles allowing them to lay flat on the hair shaft again.

If you do not apply the conditioner after a protein mask you'll be leaving those cuticles open which leads to dryness and also dull hair. Shiny hair comes from those cuticles laying flat and thus reflecting light back into your eye. When the cuticles are open, they are pointing in different directions thus diffracting the light which leads to dull-looking hair.

We're always happy to answer your questions! \
